Delicious food and good selection of drinks. The place is tiny and cozy, but with great service and good portions and genuine food taste. People who work there are really nice. View all feedback.
What gca009 doesn't like about Ombra:
The name is real, the good food is an Ombra (shade . The pizza is just far way to be good , you should remove the Italian sign is fake taste of food and expensive , is not possible to charge the customer for such poor quality . Food is piece of Art and if you are not an Artist you shouldn't paint . Very disappointed. View all feedback.
I really enjoyed my meal here even with some clueless fellow diners, which is not.the owner's fault, so I give it 5 stars. Real Italians running a real restaurant. It's 1 block from home, so I guess I will be posting more photos in the future. I judge an Italian place by 2 things, how nerdy amd proud the owner is of their establishment and how good the risotto is. My risotto was very good, in fact, my next guest I want to bring with me is my friend from Rome who is my risotto expert in Gothenberg. Tue wine was a good price, color, aroma and taste, just as promised by the owner, it comes from his hometown! The dessert was very good, but also very drenched in liquor, so I needed a cup of tea to make it through the dessert instead of a dessert wine. It feels like a cafe in Rome, especially sitting out there during the warmest longest summer in over a century. And maybe like a film, people think they can bring their dogs to dinner with them. Which I don't mind as long as they behave, but unfortunately there seems to be several in the neighborhood who don't know how to dog whisper.
We took a chance with this restaurant while walking around the Haga district as it was Friday and other choices required reservations. Anyhow, they quickly accommodated us. Food was very good. All homemade pastas. Cooked perfectly. Small and quaint but cozy. Good vegetarian selections and options. Good wine selection. Little pricey though.
Delicious Italian food in Gothenburg and believe it or not, they have real italian pizza! I went there during Valentine's Day so I guess that was the reason it was too crowded and very slow service. However, the entire experience was nice, romantic place and great food.
In a city of the pizza kebab, I've finally found a good and authentic Italian restaurant. I enjoyed my meal and will certainly return.
Nice place, good atmosphere, genuinely friendly people/service, stone oven. Good food and a matching wine selection. They even import most of the ingredients from Italy. Very much recommended.
