We are from the city and visited this restaurant on a Friday evening. They seated us promptly without any issues, despite our group of eight. The food was delicious, and everyone was pleased with their meals. I tried the dish named after the restaurant, the El Korita, along with two burritos and a chili relleno, and everything was fantastic. It was a great value with tasty food! View all feedback.
What Rebecca Monahan doesn't like about El Korita:
I always go to Lapaz for my Mexican food. Came here today since I hadn't been in awhile. Came in , I should of turned around and left due to the odor when I walked in . After that I still tried them out anyway.. What a mistake!!! Only one customer in here when I walked in, and it took almost an hour to get 2 tacos.. I had to get up and ask about my order. I didn't get no refill, the people who came in after me got th... View all feedback.
Me and a friend went to this restaurant on May 8, 2018. When we got inside we saw dirty dishes sitting on tables and on carts which none of them were clean. We were the only one's there. The restaurant smelled really bad and you could tell that the restaurant had water leaks from the way the ceiling look. The floors were very dirty and look like they have not been cleaned in a very long time. The menus that we received to look at had food all inside them. We told the waitress about it but she didn't seem to care. The dishes looked very old and even had cracks in them. Gross talking about sick. The health department needs to go investigate this restaurant. I don't know how this restaurant is staying in business with it looking the way it looked. This restaurant is very dirty and very old and needs to be condemned. I will not be going back to this restaurant. So if you want a nice clean restaurant where the food is really good please don't go to this restaurant. Instead go to La Paz. La Paz has the best Mexican food and it is a Christian owned restaurant. And the people are always so very friendly. You'll never find the restaurant ever dirty. And the food is always fresh and the prices are really good.
I remember coming here a few years ago with excellent service. We went a couple of weeks ago and the salsa was extremely salty...The waitstaff acted like they didn't want us there. Constantly rushing us. Mind you...There were only about 4 tables being used this night. So it's not like they were busy. Just poor all around that night. Very disappointed.

I GIVE THIS PLACE A THUMBS DOWN!!!!!
Best Mexican restaurant ever, value 2 bark chili rellenoes with rice and bean to go for $9.07 a bag of chips and container of salsa was included. I can't ask for a better one. always a pleasant visit, friendly staff. would highly recommend.
I love eating at El Korita. They have the best Mexican food, but today in celebration of my B-day. My friends took me there for lunch. The food was great as usual, but when we went to pay is when the problem began. One friend bought my lunch for my birthday and the other I paid for as she didn't get paid until the next day. I was over charged for my friends meal. We mentioned it at the time and was told it was correct. When we got back to the office we looked into the situation and found that we were overcharged. I called the restaurant and spoke with Maria who said she was the manager. I told her the problem. Maria looked at the check the waitress had written up and it said $14.04, when the waitress charged me $16.04, and I even added a $3.00 tip for a total bill of $19.04. It looked as if she overcharged me $2.00, but Maria said no, the bill was $14.68 (even after telling me the waitress had figured $14.04). We went over the bill together with her flip flopping on the prices. She finally agreed that I was overcharged by $2.00, but was then told that she would give me $3.00 as I seemed hard up for money. All I wanted was to be charged correctly. I only picked up the $2.00 I was overcharged. Go for the great food, but make sure you're being charged correctly.
