The restaurant features an incredible collection of art and relics. My favorite part was the "théâtre de mode," a collection of post-WWII miniatures. There are not many museums in East Washington, so it’s definitely worth the beautiful trip to visit this place. We spent at least two hours exploring everything. Parking was easy, and the café down there has delicious sandwiches and potato salad. View all feedback.
This is such a wonderful museum and historic building. Great exhibits in such a beautiful and remote location. Their new addition with the cafe overlooking the Gorge is breathtaking. A must stop when traveling East on the Columbia river.
Family friendly museum. Beautiful gold plated furniture, a fantastic chess collection, and of course wonderful art in all it's forms. Fun lawn sculptures for the kids to enjoy. It even includes a cafe with delicious sandwiches and a large variety of beverages. We had the veggie, turkey and provolone and grilled cheese sandwich.
The location is just amazing and the museum is wonderful. try to get out here on a nice clear day and if you do make it out, follow highway 97 up towards goldendale till you get out of the Gorge, the view is spectacular (Hood, Adams, St.Helens and Rainier) and adds only 5 minutes to your trip.
It did not go inside, but enjoyed all the beautiful sculptures around the park. that was my favorite.
Interesting story about sam hill. beautiful ground. $12 entry fee for adults.
