I have gone through almost every Lab Burger on the menu and haven't found a single burger I haven't fallen in love with! The staff are amazing and always remember us when we come in, everything on the menu is awesome value for money and the guys always work hard to make it a great night for everyone! I keep inviting all my mates to dinner here because secretly I would eat dinner here every night if I could... If I co... View all feedback.
What Suzanne Dumont doesn't like about Obsessions on Chevron:
Popped in for an Acai bowl it would have to be the worst one to date. 3 pieces of Banana 4 pieces of tasteless Apple the tiniest sprinkle of some kind of crunch that has no taste to it.. Worst way to spend $13.. View all feedback.
Wow! we visited by chance, as we used the wash salon next to the restaurant. we are so glad we made it! so many possibilities for burger! my man had the russ crowe and I had the karage kamikazee. they were both so tasty! chips were...big the type that served us was nice. just what we thought would be better to serve the chips with sauce. I'm sure we could have got some if we asked!
We spent $77 on a meal for getting cold, the mac and cheese came leaking over the rest of the food, the hühnerburger had a small black hair on the Styrofoam box and the Pesto-Fries never arrived. I called the restaurant to talk to the manager, and he told me, "we tried to get better next time" and hanged on me. not really good enough for the price and quality of food, I would not recommend ordering from here at all.
On the Chevron Island is a hidden gem. whatever they spend for alcoholic drinks, they get double in wings $0.50 each, spend $50 getting 100 wings for $50. Great for kids and the burgers are big and fill. it is worth checking it.
Huge range of burgers that are very well priced for the size with a good flavour profile. Parking on a side street was easy and convenient despite the main drag being chaotic. Menu is extensive but every burger was different in some way with some...unusual combinations. Decor is very effective and quite pleasant. Staff friendly and happy to explain variations. Chilli fries actually had mince and cheese on them which was a nice change. Four mains and drinks for $100 which was very reasonable. Mine was prepared and presented very well. Only negatives were minor. My wife's bun was stale (everyone else's was fresh), service was somewhat slow given the lightly patronised dining area and drinks are smaller than conventional (an Australian/UK pint is 568mL, the pints here are around 450mL I'd estimate) We will come back, my mate was disappointed he didn't try the V2 challenge!
Very poor experience for the second time. The first time I visited was about a year ago, I ordered a burger, it was extremely bland considering the prices! A milkshake was also ordered which tasted fine, however when I went to pick up a spoon...from the cutlery box on the table, it was covered in chocolate! No one even cleaned or checked it from the previous diners. Today I ordered a salad (Lambada) to try something new and avoid the bland burger situation. The lettuce was very old, shriveled and drenched by water, they also ran out of lamb, so they offered steak instead, the steak was extremely gristly and was unable to be chewed. No compensation was offered, we were argued with regarding how fresh the food was. Overall a salad and Mac and Cheese balls were $30 in total which is an extreme rip off for poor food! Never to return! Do not recommend!
