Contribute FeedbackThe Tara Restaurant offers a beautiful setting with stunning views of the Malverns, complemented by attentive service. However, guests' experiences have been mixed, particularly regarding the quality of the food. While some found the afternoon tea to be a lovely value, featuring homemade cakes and scones, many criticized the sandwiches for lacking freshness and flavor. Issues with cleanliness and service consistency also marred some visits. Although some patrons had pleasant encounters, the general sentiment reflects a need for improvement in food quality and overall experience to match the restaurant's appealing ambiance.
Very nice eating, but we are a little rushed sat down 8pm and until 10pm they rushed us for dessert options and equipment for breakfast
Very short staff, the staff that worked, was excellent, led well by michael the bar and restaurant manager, without his guidance it would have been an absolute catastrophe, much too many diner for 3 employees!
Very disappointing and disgusted with our visit i booked an afternoon tea as a treat for my mother. The sandwiches were not fresh seemed like they had been made a day before as the bread was stale. There was hardly any meet filling more like the fat of the ham. There were at least 15 blue bottle fly’s in the window by the table . One fly touched the food. We were going to ask for these to be replaced but could see other people in the restaurant having issues with flies also. There was also a mess under the table. We just had get out of there as it was grim and not a pleasant experience and did not expect this from this hotel.
Was pleasantly surprised at how stunning the Tara Restaurant was. Lovely decor, accompanied by a fantastic view of the Malverns and a lovely, attentive waitress. Fantastic value for money afternoon tea for 2, evidently everything was homemade with a great selection of cakes and scones. However, I felt the sandwich fillings were lacking in flavour and appearance compared to the rest of the afternoon tea. Other than that minor detail, I would highly recommend.
Came for afternoon tea for 2 had 1 vegetarian and 2 no fish my mum was served 3 sandwiches filled with just lettuce an one with abit of tomato (not imaginative at all) had to ask for at least abit of cheese or egg. Cakes were dry was not checked on once complete waste of money and a early mother’s day treat ruined have emailed hotel but no reply! Won’t be going again!
