Gabriel Pizza - Gloucester

Made a reservation a week ago for Mother’s Day, arrived and was given a tiny booth for four people for a party of 5. One menu given apparently to share for all of us, service was rushed, not friendly at all and then came by and placed our bill between all of us while we were still eating. Will happily frequent other places that are happy to have their clients.

This is a lovely spot for brunch—I really enjoy their patio! The staff is friendly and attentive. I would appreciate it if they could add smoked meat as a protein option for those of us who don’t eat pork, but overall, I had a wonderful experience here.

"Why do you ask so many questions when I call to place an order? Just get to the order already! The pizza was disappointing—thin, dry, and cold, with a hard cheese texture. The tomato sauce and toppings were subpar. The service was slow, too; I felt ignored when I arrived for pickup. It seems like COVID-19 safety measures have been completely forgotten—no distancing at all. They advertised a 15-inch pizza, but I was lucky to get a 14-inch stuffed into a 15-inch box. It makes me wonder how much money they save by shortchanging customers. The steak sub was just as bad; it's hard to find any steak in it at all, and it didn’t even resemble the pictures they advertised."

Both the food and service were excellent. They were very accommodating with our preferences and changes to the menu. I will definitely be returning.

We have the fried chicken sandwich, a zesarsalat and boneless bite. all great portions. a lil bit on the expensive side. love the terrace idea.
