I don’t usually like museums but I would recommend this place to everyone ! There are heaps of quirky artworks and also playgrounds for kids. Plenty dining options too. Highly recommended this is a must for all visitors to Tasmania. We did the ferry option from Hobart to Mona I recommend this too. Staff were excellent ! View all feedback.

read moreMona in Tasmania is a must-visit for all visitors, with quirky artworks and playgrounds for kids. The focus on surrealism and interactive installations create an entire artistic experience that will blow your mind. Despite some rude staff, the engaging exhibits and delicious food make it the best museum experience. The gallery is architecturally interesting with a dark subject matter theme that is worth spending an entire day exploring. Mona is family-friendly with lots to see for kids, making it a wonderful visit for young and old alike. Accessible from the city with various dining options available, including fancy restaurants, food trucks, and cafes. Overall, Mona is easily the best and absolutely mind blowing, a place you can't miss.

Lovely little cafe with some great take out or eat in options and some neat wines tooThis place is on top of MONA just next to The Source restaurant.
