Last Sunday I took a friend shopping at Northgate shopping center and came across a cafe and to my surprise I found that they could cater for my dietary needs.... read more Last Sunday I took a friend shopping at Northgate shopping center and came across a cafe and to my surprise I found that they could cater for my dietary needs. The staff were able to make me a cup of coffee with a lactose free milk (not soy, almond or rice) a brand that I regularly use at home so I felt this was a wonderful treat as very few cafes will cater for people with lactose intolerance. Adding to the coffee I could also order a gluten free treat. I found the service staff very friendly and the food was served quickly. I can recommend this cafe to people with lactose and gluten intolerances.

I slipped up last week and ordered a Toasted ham and cheeze Sarnie. Least said the better. Paper thin with bland tasteless cheeze and non existent ham. Not worth $1 never mind the exorbitant amount i paid. I will stick to Coffees from now on.

Gloria Jean's is a lovely cafe coffee shop with wonderful baked goods and treats. We never miss it on our trips to Tasmania. It's easily accessible with street parking with nice tables. Order caramel slices, something hard to find anymore.
