What User doesn't like about Mergellina:
We used to be regulars here for many years and always enjoyed it. However since the change of management this Elsternwick institution has gone down a big hill very quickly.They have removed the pizza oven and pizza prep area from the front, and now even the pizzas are made out the back.Our pizzas tasted like they were either wholly frozen pizzas or made from frozen pizza bases. This restaurant recently opened after undergoing a complete renovation. Upon arrival, we were promptly served a pot of tea and a couple of small, delicious cakes with a smile. The front area of the restaurant has comfortable seating for dining in or out, while the back area is dedicated to a delicatessen setup with a variety of European delicacies.
