Love this place - it's great for dining in and just as good for takeaway. Food it always very good and the staff are great. A real gem of the Patterson Road shops! View all feedback.

Beware they charge heaps for BYO! We were a group of seven with 2 bottles of wine, only 5 of us had any. At the end of the night, after a banquet, we were charges $4.00 a head for BYO, which added a cost of $28.00 to the bill. We explained that not everyone drank any alcohol. NEVER GOING BACK! Been going here for a long time but this has changed tonightWell priced, good food and nice setting but tonight be brought a bottle of wine and the waitress charged our 7 year old son for corkageSeriously?Service was almost narcoleptic though friendly and the final account took multiple times to reconcile. Even then a further corkage that was missed was added in including my sons levy for the wine he purportedly enjoyedSorry guys, last time we go here unless you want to contact me to resolve thisFeel free, I'm on 0400988685Colin
Good restaurant and nice atmosphere been here a few times and nice place to chill on a Friday after work
This is the third time I've visited Maharani and all three times the food was good. On this night my friend and I started off with the Chicken and Fish Tikka a bit dry but lovely flavours so we overlooked the fact that the entree was dry. Mains consisted of Mixed Vegetables in curry sauce, disappointing mostly potato and a couple of carrots, Lamb Rogan Josh and Saffron rice very good the Lamb was tender. The house wine surprisingly good and over all a nice experience, reasonably priced and we will be back again but this time we will try a few dishes more ambitious than Chicken Tikka. Staff were courteous and friendly but having one waitress must put a great deal of pressure on her if the restaurant was full of diners.Oh and as for my opening comment about 'ignore the decor and walls'. The decor is a throw back from the 80s so don't be discouraged to enter but the chairs are comfortable as for the walls all it requires is a good scrub down to remove food stains. Love Giulia
