The Freyberg New Lynn Rsa - Glen Eden

Have been frequenting this restaurant for several years. Have never had a problem with the food quality. However since the arrival of Covid-19 in the community things seemed to change in a not good way. This restaurant was seen as one of the top three in RSA circles. I hope it will regain its place in the community.

Semi regular here. Haven't been for a few months. No more lamb shanks. No Sunday roast. Ordered food upon arrival. Another person in the group who arrived half an hour later had their meal arrive about 15 mins before ours. I was told this was because one of our orders included a pizza and was pointed to the person who was only just making them. Three medium rare steaks for the group all came very rare and with lots of gristle. One of the desserts wasn't available and I was offered a cheesecake instead which I liked the sound of. Two small cubes of cheesecake and a spoonful of icecream. Something has gone terribly wrong with the restaurant.

Our family has been VIP’s at this RSA for about 6 years maybe more the food used to be good/average, but then another chef came in somewhat recently and improved the food 100%. The food is presented quite exceptionally now and it tastes much better too! The prices are alright too, doesn’t get too expensive, the meals were around $20-$30 last time I went, but good quality, so would recommend.

Food is usually amazing here,but last night it was bad. Steak over cooked and full of fat, mushroom sauce was pink,bacon missing of bacon cheeseburger burger and someone uses our fries for another order. We ate then watched the wrestling show then once home I was vomiting and diarrhoea. Usually a 5 star rating but not last night Usual chef was not there.

Our visit last week was worthy of a very big thank you to you all. Our group of more than 60 people shared a wonderful meal, served with professionalism.
