After traveling all afternoon we were looking for a quick, light meal and this little gem did not disappoint. Our server/bartender Kevin was very nice, answered my questions concerning gluten free options despite doing double duty. Wasn't a huge menu, but had enough options; salads, entrees, etc. to satisfy. Atmosphere was nice. Football was on if you wanted to watch. Would go back again if we're ever in the area. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Glen Tavern:
When we arrived at the host station, one of us greeted us by saying that it would be at least an hour for us that we would get our food. they were short-occupied. decided to order our food to get back into the room. it was over an hour. the food was good enough, but they were clearly understated and it was evident. Visits the tavern during the resort for a weekend conference and received terrible service. the hours were not so advertised; our group of 4 had arrived early as we had an event to attend this night, and decided to go further and get our seats for the 15 minutes to open. our server took our drink order in decent time, but brought the wrong order and did not take our food order for another 15 minutes. once placed, we took over an hour to get our food, although other moats/groups that came after us were served and got their commands well before we did. when we were asked, our server responded because we were such a large group (there were four, and a group of six who arrived after us had served and had eaten) then we asked that our commands go so that we should not miss our event; it took another 15 minutes before we got it, and it was wrong and had no forks to go with it. in the meantime even more groups after we have received their food, and our server has checked with the other tables, but never came back to check on ours, even if we need to drink refills. Finally we have another server that immediately gave up our order and refilled drinks, and finally our original server brought our store and had added an 18 percent service fee. the restaurant is unfortunately one of the few options for eating in the resort available, and eating it yourself, while decent, did not live until the menu. the staff were clearly hard to work, and the others who helped us repair our orders were very courteous and professional, but would not recommend this restaurant.
If they are in the unfortunate existence that is virginia crossings, they have at least one place to forget their care. the tavern grille is what they would expect from a hotel in the middle of a hotel. a menu that is safe in the middle of the road, no surprises, and surprisingly cheap to be in a hotel area. that is, there is a clear separation between kitchen and staff. in contrast to my normal reviews, I will first list the consensus, as I feel that the pros are more than enough to make a change for the better in the back home. cons the food no, eat it. the chef has either no personal to create a menu to fit the clientele, or is very inexperienced. I would like this as overpriced burger community for the majority of food somehow flei mud was both charred as well as muddy, asparagus was overboiled and burned, the chicken wings are breaded, and the steak is guaranteed 2 shades more destroyed than they ordered most other dishes are strongly overboiled, oversalted, and generally unpalatable. with this rating (q2 2022) it is difficult to recommend this restaurant also with the hilton credits. positiw: the staff. the personal is amazing in restaurant Kennth, as the manager is there to make sure that everything is as it should be, and makes sure that all the problems are done quickly and without drama. not to mention being a fantastic call starter and knowing how to treat a short-term customer kevin behind the pine pours a fantastic drink and also keep a great entertainment that spend in them more than expected denaja and tia are absolutely fantastic barkeeper and server and will guarantee that even the worst day ends a night they see and smile back. in general, the tavern Grill(e) needs a kitchen staff makeover to meet the extraordinary bar and floor staff. this restaurant is recommended directly at the rande of a 4 or 5 stars, but either the kitchen staff or the management keeps back from this last extraordinary push. I would like to try again, but it seems that covid has become a claw for the mediocrity.
Now the only restaurant for dinner is open in this hotel. small menu and wine list. take the meat. friendly staff.
Ordered a glass of Mendoza Malbec and Bronzed Salmon with seasonal fruit salsa, chimichurri quinoa and sautéed greens. Received 1/4 glass of bitter cheap red wine and overcooked oily and salty piece of salmon covered with pieces of cold canned mixed fruits on the bed of equally overcooked and saturated in oil quinoa. Tiny pieces of something green could be seen mixed into the quinoa . Not even mentioning the quality of the service. Who are the people responsible for wasting food?
