I used to frequent this place quite often but my last two visits have been extremely disappointing and so I will no longer be coming back here. On my second last visit they had forgotten to take our order to the kitchen and we waited over an hour and a half for food. This time, the staff were quite rude and dismissive and despite the place not being full the service was extremely slow. Took around 20 minutes just to... View all feedback.
What OpenTable Diner doesn't like about Kilmurry Co:
Have eaten here before, and was happy, hence the return. However, this time, not so good. My kilmurray grand breakfast was poor. Inedible streaky bacon, undercooked and just fat. No sausage on the plate and overall quality of the food wasn’t good. Gave me the sausage when I asked but again, undercooked links sausage and poor quality lorne. My daughter was happy enough with the veggie option. Orange juice tasted like... View all feedback.
Terrible service was snails pace then they lost our order. We bailed after waiting an hour and a half and only receiving one drink. Will never ever be back
We were excited to try but left disappointed. Outdoor seating was nice but menus and table were not completely clean. Coffee was good as was freshly squeezed orange juice. Food was a big let down. Adding berries for nearly £3 gave me 3.5 strawberries. Cinnamon crunch pancakes had neither cinnamon nor crunch. The bananas were not caramelised, they looked very pale, tasted soft and did not have black ends cut off. At no point including when we got the bill did anyone ask if we enjoyed our meal. Potential to be really good in a nice setting but without changes I would not return.
Restaurant was nice, however food wasn't. The fry up was cold and many items were a bit underdone. My son was given 1 pancake. My breakfast muffin was very.food.
It took over 30 minutes for our food order to be taken... And that's because we went in and asked three times. More than half the tables were empty, and there were three staff servicing. I calculated that is if wasn't for the unnecessary delays, we'd have probably ordered two more rounds of drinks, increasing the table value by about her £30-odd. If I were the owner or manager, this would be the thing I care about. As a customer, I care that we had to ask for menus, drinks twice and the order to be taken three times, before these actions happened. While we watched tables arrive without being greeted and left for the same time.
Was looking forward to our “boozy brunch” booking but was told when we arrived that this offer was not an option on Sundays. On closer inspection it does say this on the website but when we booked our table it let us book this option so this was not our fault. Our server was understanding of this and willing to still let us have the offer as this was clearly a booking system error but then who I can only assume was the supervisor or manager came over and was very rude to us about this and made me show her step by step how I booked it despite showing her a screenshot of my booking already. She then disgruntledly said “I guess we’ll have to let you have it then” and seemed angry which was unpleasant and made us feel uncomfortable and like we were to blame for this. However our server came back and was lovely and very attentive! The food and drinks were nice and good value with the deal and I’m sure general ambience would have been better had we not had that initial experience
