Contribute FeedbackAlthough the restaurant has potential, it seems to have missed the mark with its food quality and service. The decor is described as old school chic, and while some reviewers found the atmosphere and decor to be brilliant, others felt that the food does not quite match the venue's ambiance and price tag. Some dishes were delicious, but others were disappointing, with complaints of bland, dry, and oily food. Despite mixed reviews on the food, the service received praise for being friendly and accommodating, with one reviewer even mentioning a particular server who made the experience enjoyable. Overall, the restaurant seems to have a nice setting and potential for improvement in certain areas such as food quality and selection.
Ingram wind we were here as a big group for a Christmas party. We had problems right from the beginning we told to arrive at a time for the tables then we were told we had to wait. The place was so small and so packed that we were basically sitting on top of each other, and the two wheelchairs in the group ended up outside because people kept falling over us. Even though the group leader had informed them that they would be two wheelchairs coming when it came time to sit at the table the staff had to rearrange furniture which caused a bit of a problem in such a packed restaurant. The staff. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but they were very disorganised and poorly managed, in my opinion. The team were bringing wrong orders and seemed to be running around Madly and were struggling The food. The food was alright enjoyable, nicely presented and perfect portions sizes. But the turkey Christmas dinner did not it excites my taste buds that much. I did enjoy the cheesecake raspberry dessert. Accessibility It was quite tricky getting into the building and around in a wheelchair because the building is quite small. They were using the disabled bathroom as a storage room, and a coat room we had to be careful not to run over people's coats and other stuff was getting in the way of using the bathroom. I doubt I will be back here in the future as there are a lot better places in Glasgow get food for the same price that we paid.
Has potential but missed the mark. Decor was old school chic. Waiter asked what we wanted to drink as soon as we sat down which was too soon. The food was a dissapointment, bland and dry. The starter looked ok, hence a photo but no other meals photo worthy. Said risotto was dry and no response or interest shown.
What a lovely place, we had high Tea and it was lovely, staff were great, our server Kyle was brilliant, very friendly and a lot of fun which made us feel really welcome
If I could give this a 3.5 out of 5 I would. Reasonable priced for lunch 2 courses 12.95 or 15.95 for 3 courses. Food was OK. Starters were soup of the day (No bread/roll served with soup). Pate, toasted bread didn't come with butter it needed it as the bread had obviously been made earlier in the day had went a little stale. Leek and mushroom rarebit was tasty enough but end of the day it is just mushroom cheese on toast. The haggis and potato fritter looked and tasted the best lovely. Mains Chicken and peppercorn sauce on mash . Good flavors (not that hot like my food piping) personally felt the dish needed more sauce/gravy in a little jug as the chicken was slightly dry. Mac and cheese was good The famous stovies was a bit of a disappointment auld Annie could teach them a thing or two. Weren't asked if we wanted any sauces or vinegar. But were swiftly brought some once we asked for some. Apple crumble and ice cream desserts had by all happy faces. Nice and friendly staff Toilets were a bit of a mess floors soaked hand towels over floors. But it was really busy with festival goers in town so obviously used a bit more then usual. A little slow on service we were 2 hrs and parked across the road. £1 for 15 mins so £8 on top of our £83 bill
Minimal drinks selection, th pork belly was burnt and taste of charcoal, the chicken was totally tasteless and covered in what seemed to be campbells soup, and the desert taste like something you would buy in Tesco. Nice place inside but it's trying to be something it's not.
