My wife has severe allergies and our waitress was absolutely the best with her concerns on food preparation and to check with the chief to make sure no allergens we’re used in the recipes. The food was out of this world good .thank you View all feedback.
Loved the vegan salad and edible noodles w tofu. vegan products are clearly characterized, including those who could be vegan by dispensing certain ingredients. left very satisfied. it is the highest quality restaurant for vegan foods that we have found around anchorage to seward.
I had nacho libre as an appetizer and then drizzle. afteros were too sharp for my no existent tolerance towards spicy living means. peanut noodles were amazing, although it makes me think when the tofu was cooked with other animal products, maybe next time I'm going without it. service is excellent although they too often checked for us to see if everything is in order or if we needed something (other people) which I am not sure whether it is a profi or a contra. the place is clean and very good looking, there are fire pits outside that is so beautiful.
I can't say enough good things about this place! eating is always great and the atmosphere is absolutely amazing. has a handful of delicious vegan menu elements from appetizers to deserts.
I was so glad to find a restaurant that had a decent amount of vegan options. as I went to anchorage and the environment, I tried to eat because the cost of food and the missing options that are not $20-25 a pop. I ordered the nacho libre vegan nachos. they were not what I expected, but they were good. I expected a molten “cheese” but instead got a drau of a nutritional yeast type sauce. it was enough to eat for a meal, but was the price of an appetizer I appreciated. my friend ordered the appetizers of Yam-Fries, and for $11, I would not recommend them. They were okay. the cut of the frits was very big and so most of the frit made only taste as if I had a half-baked flat yam. vegans can't be the aioli that comes as dive on the side. I ordered the naked berry dessert (roh vegan when they are in it) and it was delicious. 10/10. my nonvegan friend tried it and was not a fan, but she is a picky esser and very pessimistic about vegan food
I have been looking forward to trying this place for years, and I found it disappointing. When I pay over $20 for an entree, I want something special and delicious. Before ordering anything, when I was trying to decide about an appetizer, I asked if I could see the dessert menu first to figure everything out. The server looked baffled and said she would return in a few minutes. She did return in a few minutes, but without the dessert menu. I asked again, and she acted as if our prior conversation never happened (also why is the vegan item on the dessert item not marked as such since they take such pains to mark everything on the food menu I ordered the bibimbap. The vegan version swaps the pork with mushrooms (which they forgot to put on and I had to request many minutes later when my server finally checked in), and they replace the egg with...nothing. I chose to add some marinated tofu for $6. What I got was an eighth of a block of raw tofu that tasted as if it had been marinated in nothing more than the water it was packaged in. For $6. Why not just give me some tofu since I am not getting any egg? The rice was nice and crispy along the bottom of the pot. The veggies were fresh. But there was very little flavor in anything, apart from spicy (my wife's selection was also pretty bland). The cashew cheesecake is a good one, but not much different from what I could make myself with a few ingredients and a Vitamix. My wife (not vegan) got the chocolate cake and a coffee for dessert, neither of which she finished because she said neither was good. So yes, this place is in Girdwood and has a few dishes that can be made vegan. YMMV. I would not come back.
