Grotto dei due Ponti - Giornico

I was here more than 5 years ago and probably the gerancy changed. I ate saddle of roe deer but there was no love in the dish. Nothing especial. They can do much better than this! Anyway fabolous location

We are locals and came to Giornico to visit the famous local churches and have lunch at this charming grotto. Situated on an island, Grotto dei Due Ponti offers guests a beautiful view of the river and surrounding valley. We enjoyed a reasonably priced 3-course...lunch menu that featured several local specialties (burratta, cured meats, fresh fish), and an excellent Merlot. The food quality in grottos can be variable, but this one is good.

My father introduced this lovely hidden Grotto to me! The Restaurant is located in the heart of Giornico on an island between the Ticino river. For lunch they offer a nice choice which includes an appetizer and a main course for more than a fair price! At the same time you can also order from the à la carte menu on which you can find a couple of Ticinese classics. For dinner service they add an additional page of food on the menu which makes the choice really hard as all the food is simply delicious. Friendly and welcoming service.

Very pleasant people, an Amazing atmosphere, excellent service. The served food is excellent too and you can enjoy very fine specialities from the country. This restaurant is known in all Europe and more.

Another great visit at the Due Ponti on a very rainy summer day. Lunch menu was just so good, and my 16 francs "pasta of the day" delicious. This, in my opinion, is one of the most cozy Grottos in Ticino!
