Schuster's Tavern feels like a journey back in time, transporting you straight to the 1980s. The food, decor, and atmosphere have remained unchanged over the decades. Very casual atmosphere, but very expensive, especially the specialties. Food is good, but not worth the high price. waiters forget to serve salad that I realized that we paid for
The service was terrible. We arrived at 630, maybe 5 or 6 tables were full. The waitress came by after 10 minutes, ran right in the middle to deliver someone else's food. We ordered drinks, they took 10 minutes. Food order went in, 25 minutes later, she cried from and nonchalant mentioned to my husband that they did not have what he ordered. Then she brought out all the other food, and his food finally came 25 minutes later after we all had eaten. He asked that it should be fought, left them boxes and never offered anything to make mistakes for them and kitchens. Over $100 on a meal, that was just bad everywhere. We just bought a house in town and will NOT be back. They need an overhaul of EVERYTHING if they hope to make it in the service industry.
Schusters Tavern is like a step into a time machine and revises the 1980s. Food, decor and atmosphere have not changed in the decades. They even had a lounge act that played 80's rock tunes on an electric keyboard. We were one of three parties sitting in the whole restaurant on Friday night. Overall the service was friendly, the facility was clean, but the food and the atmosphere were very dated. You might consider it a bit sad and cheesy or with it like we did it and enjoy the trip.
The service was awful. We arrived at 6:30 a.m., and there were only about five or six tables occupied. After a 10-minute wait, the waitress came over but abruptly left in the middle of taking our order to serve someone else. We ordered drinks, which took another 10 minutes to arrive. When it was time for our food, the waitress returned 25 minutes later, upset and casually informed my partner that they were out of the dish he ordered. Eventually, she brought out the rest of our meals, but his food didn't come until another 25 minutes had passed, after we had all finished eating. He asked for his meal to be boxed up, and she just left the containers without offering any apologies or compensation for the mistakes from the kitchen. We spent over $100 on a meal that was disappointing at best. Having just bought a house in the area, we definitely won’t be returning. This place needs a complete overhaul if it hopes to survive in the service industry.

They even had a lounge act performing classic 80s rock tunes on an electric keyboard. On Friday night, we were one of just three groups dining in the entire restaurant. Overall, the service was friendly, and the place was clean, but the food and ambiance felt quite outdated. You could view it as somewhat sad and cheesy, or, like we did, embrace the nostalgia and enjoy the experience.
