The Open Flame Steak Lounge - Gilbert

Large quiet space. cocktails good not all juice and steak was perfect .. ribey is my cut

Robin was our server tonight for our 22nd wedding anniversary and she was awesome, atmosphere was great and food was as well. Great place, reasonable prices, take a trip to Gilbert, IA well worth it

We waited 45 minutes to get our drinks.then two of themvis not what we orderd.the two girls waited over an hour to get ice water and had to ask 3 times for it then it took an hour and a half to get our meals 4 of the meals were good.the two steak dinners that were ordered one was ordered medium well it was rear the other was ordered well done it was medium rear i am a cook and the mest was auful.the ribeye was more then half fat.i will not be back.I remember years back when i lived closer to gilbert we went twice a year and it was great.but this time was aulful we got nothing iff the bill for the mess.and we drove over 100 miles to come with our family.just not what i remembered it to be .very disappointed..

Felt very disregarded when we walked in and stood there for 20 minutes before anyone even said anything to us. Just was really unimpressed with the service. My shrimp was not very good The New York strip was not good lots of fat and poor quality. The ribeye steak was really good.

If you are looking for good food at a reasonable price, sometimes you have to go off the beaten track. Such is the case with The Open Flame. It has been a popular restaurant in small-town Gilbert Iowa since 1978. Don't come here looking for a fancy bar, a dozen big screen TVs and cloth napkins. Come here looking for friendly service, some good food and affordable prices. You even have the option of cooking your steak yourself on their open flame grill, which is kind of fun if you're into that.
