What User doesn't like about Salad And Go Cooper Rd:
I am a regular to the this location and used to love it. The last 3 visits I have had, the salads are skimpy on the toppings. I order the Buffalo chicken salad but customize it to add pico and cucumbers and remove tomatoes, carrots and croutons. I would always get a good, and seemingly standard, portion of the 2 added ingredients. As you know, I pay more for the added ingredients and get nothing off for the ingredien... View all feedback.
Whenever I don't feel like chopping vegetables by myself, I order a salad with mostly organic ingredients from this place. I can stay in my car, the price is great, and the salad dressings are tasty. I can usually enjoy the salad for two or three days for less than $7.
I have discovered the reason for the unpleasant taste in my salads - it was the mixed greens. I am not sure if they changed the greens or if I just never realized they were in there before, but I cannot stand the taste. I now only order salads with romaine and they are back to being delicious! 5 stars. I have been enjoying Cobb salads from this restaurant almost weekly for a long time and they are the best. However, something has changed in the last six weeks and I can't figure out what it is. There is a strange, nasty taste that reminds me of freshly cut grass. I have had to throw out my last few salads because of it. If anyone knows what changed, please help me figure it out. Other than this issue, the restaurant is excellent. I will update my rating once I solve the mystery of the unpleasant taste.
I used to be a regular at this restaurant and really enjoyed it. However, in my last three visits, I have noticed that the salads are lacking in toppings. I usually order the Buffalo chicken salad but customize it by adding pico and cucumbers while removing tomatoes, carrots, and croutons. I am willing to pay extra for the additional ingredients, but I have been disappointed with the small portions I have received recently. In my last three visits, I only received four pieces of cucumber and a small amount of pico. I may need to consider trying a different salad option in the future, as these salads are no longer worth the $7 price tag. It's disappointing because this restaurant is conveniently located near my house.
Today I ordered the Antipasto salad with tofu and the BBQ Ranch salad with chicken. The lady on the intercom asked if I wanted salami on the Antipasto and I said yes. When I got home, the receipt said I paid for extra tofu, and there was NO salami. The other salad was ok. So frustrating!
Healthy choices at affordable prices. The line at lunch can be impossible. You can still in the morning and pick up a salad for lunch to avoid the lines. Chicken tastes canned but is acceptable for the price. The steak isn't good enough to justify the upcharge.Food: 4/5
