John Mary's - Getzville

This restaurant has the best subs, including the best steak-hoagie in Buffalo. The quality of the sandwich is consistent every time.

Although they may not invest as heavily in promotions as Mighty Taco or Jim's Steakout, John Mary has locations in nearly every neighborhood and is one of the most popular restaurant chains in Buffalo. The business was founded by John and Mary Guida in Cheektowaga and has grown over the years as new generations have taken the reins. Currently, John Mary restaurants can be found throughout Western New York, from Alden to Lockport. While most of their locations share a similar look and design, I never realized they were connected and assumed they were all independently owned. The existence of four separate websites for different locations only adds to the confusion. Despite this, I have frequented their Getzville location enough while working in the northern suburbs to confidently provide a quick review.
