What User doesn't like about Hong Kong:
If I could give them a lower rating, I would. Today, I picked up an order from this restaurant and noticed that an item was missing. I called to inform them, but the person on the phone insisted that I did not order that particular item. After going back and forth with them, they hung up on me. When I called back, they hung up again twice before finally answering. They then rudely informed me that I had to come back... View all feedback.
Poorer proportion for a large 13$ after controlling for a lunch-plate combination size (the half of what is expected, which is great, except that eating is always decent and coworkers are wonderful. cant bring me to spend 13$ time and again for dinner and get a midday size.
The foods good but everytime I order over the last 6 months they seem to cheap out they pack the combination fried rice with rich and barley put any veggies, and meat into it. I have been ordering from them for going on 2 years and they were my favorite Chinese restaurants until recently, when they started raising prices and putting hardly any veggies and meat in the food...
Ordered their Pineapple Chicken and steamed vegetables. One served with chicken fried rice then other white! Both orders were BANGING! Will definitely be ordering again. The only negative thing I feel needs said is the inside of the restaurant needs cleaned up. Looks very hideous from looking in the window. Just because noone is eating inside. Is no reason not to clean!
If you want good, cheap food just come here, the service is always very nice. Takeout is a must though.
Visited Gettysburg for several days and tried Hong Kong for a take-out dinner. The other Google reviews were okay so we thought we'd give it a try. The COVID precautions are excellent. You can only order through a small take out window, there is not indoor seating or service. That said, we were a little surprised to see that the man who took our order, while nice, was barefoot and unkempt. We ordered four different entree dishes and house fried rice. The entrees were all SWIMMING in sauce and were extremely sweet, and the broccoli tasted mildewy. Clearly we have been spoiled by House of Chao in New Haven, Connecticut. Their food is amazing. Sorry Hong Kong, we will not recommend.
