I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews because we had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. We arrived on a Friday night and were seated fairly quickly. While we waited, we enjoyed excellent drinks and service at the bar. The atmosphere was wonderful, with so many interesting details to take in while we waited. I ordered the Brat Rip sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious! The crispy onion straws... View all feedback.

Food and service was ok. Seems not as well managed as before. They were complaining a lot about being short staffed, but I didn't visit to hear all that. It use to be my favorite restaurant in Gettysburg but didn't like it as much this time . Seen another couple get up and walk out after waiting 10+ minutes for anyone to even acknowledge them. Sat on Sunday at 3 a.m.; Place wasn't busy. Atmosphere is cool and gettysburg movie memory and decor was beautiful. Beer selection was good and my appetizer of the Goober peanut soup was fun and rich. It seemed to take a while to get our ducks out and while the fish and chips of my husband were good, my flatbread... well, it was terrible to be quite open. It smelled like propane. It should have mixed greens on top, but there was shredded salad, and the peaches on it were crispy (not taste ripe). I would normally try to do the power because I hate the confrontation, but it was really bad. I sent it back and ordered the meat leaf, which still had a mild propane-like taste, but which could easily be masked by Braunschweig. It was worlds better than the flatbread, but still good. It also took a while to check and then go. Beautiful idea of a place and maybe it has more to offer, but it is not a return destination for us.

This is a great period of time to Invest and earn reasonable profits with great signals on Bitcoin and Forex trade, with the help of a woman called Mrs Helen Wayne, she is the best account manager I have ever known or heard of. My husband and I stopped for lunch on Thursday afternoon. There was literally no one, but the bartender. It is very dark inside, but to look at many historical memories. The owner and his wife came in shortly after our order and we talked to them for a while. Very nice people with great stories. You heard it since 1972! My husband has a burger and I have the goat cheese bread. We also have onion rings. The food was pretty good. The burger of my husband with the pig and the Koleslaw was really delicious. It was quite rustic and dated, but a cool place to stop for a bite and a beer.
You can feel the history when you walk into the room. This place is amazing and cozy. We stayed in the Jenny Wade room and were able to tour a few of the other rooms. The whole place is wonderful. The bartender Dave was really nice. Kayla the housekeeping manager and paranormal guide was great! Susie at breakfast was friendly and super helpful. We are going back in October.
