Cafe De Loge - Gent

Tried the vegan pasta pesto and the vegan quiche at Reed's. Absolutely delicious, cozy location.

I ended up at Café De Loge because I was searching for a vegan-friendly place with free Wifi that was still open in the evening. The staff was very understanding about my weird enquiry about working there on my laptop at a time when everybody was meeting to have a drink together.They offered me to sit at the calm area upstairs. It’s full of candles there and extremely cosy. I also loved their selection of music! Their homemade Chai Latte with oat milk is super tasty and they also added an amazing vegan salty peanut cookie to it. Great experience, would come and take advantage of their Wifi and vegan options again.

The vegan stew is one of the best in Ghent. Friendly service, nice setting, and delicious drinks.

My boyfriend ordered the gluten free vegan pasta pesto and I got the vegan Quiche. My boyfriend also orderd a soup along with his pasta, which they served at the same time with his main dish, which was a bit tricky on the small table. The pasta was just broccoli with pasta and a teaspoon of oil on it. Not really something a vegan normally would eat. My quiche had such a hard baked crust I could not cut it with the knife I got. I had to ruin the whole thing to be able to eat it. The taste was fine though. I got a lot of salad and other visually-plate-filling-vegetables. I ended up eating something else when I came home. The price was not high and we got free water during the whole meal. Since this is more a cosy bar then a restaurant, overall this was a good price versus quality. I heard many times their stew is very delicious, so maybe next time we'll go for that plate.
