I will add a review for the sheer cuteness of an old fashioned Ed store. Its old, antiquated but so well organized with odds and ends. Now the fudge! I'm liking this a whole lot, now I tried the orange fudge and it was amazing. I also tried something I've never seen before and that is a coke infused with coffee, so this in itself is an amazing find! It is good! The girl at the counter said they don't see this much so... What Vincent Z doesn't like about Genesee Country Store Candy Land:
This is a review for the Conoco gas station service run by the Genesee Country Store. While the store may be nice (and generally only mildly overpriced), the gas prices are ALWAYS priced $1.00 OR MORE HIGHER than the current going rate. Should you ask, they will state that it is the location, convenience, or competition (as there is none there). No matter what, even if on fumes, go to the next available station. Ther... After visiting the BBQ spot next door, my wife was in the mood for some fudge. So fudge I had to provide! Luckily next door was the country store and they sell some fudge. It seems like your generic gasoline station market, but it stands out in its own unique way. Once inside you find it is like other markets, but it has a home vibe to it. The lady at the counter was nice and talkative. You could tell there was a lot of regulars as she kept welcoming them by name and they did the same. The corner is for the fudge addicts. They had a huge selection of fudge and different sweets that you could try. My wife personally got four pieces as you get the fifth for free. I'm personally not a fan of fudge as it is too strong for me. But I had to give a try. Each piece was powerful in flavor, so it ended up forcing us to limit ourself in each bite. My wife had an amazing time with each bite, we would personally recommended the raspberry dream and milk chocolate! DISCLAIMER: If you are planning on getting the 4 and 1 free deal then keep in mind that they will last you a while. They are powerful and since it's so sweet one bite is enough. Overall, if you're in the area then pass on by! It's worth buying some snacks or just trying out their fudge!
Decided to stop and get some snacks for the kids on our drive threw the mountains. Well as we were walking up to the counter my daughter dropped her ice tea and the glass broke. We apologized and offered to clean it up the cashier Violet immediately gave us attitude and a dirty look and walked away. She came back to get a broom while mumbling how angry she was. We apologized once again and she didn't say anything just gave us a dirty look and was making comments to another customer and even that customer was angry with her remarks and decided to leave. I ended up putting all the items back and only paying for the broken tea. I took my business somewhere else. Also she seemed very rude to the other employees.
They have ridiculous gas prices at a dollar over market value, and the owner is very rude. She yelled at me for trying to take shelter from a hailstorm and forced me to leave immediately.
Very friendly. Went to the back to get coffee sleeve And great coffee!! Little difficult to find because no signage.
Great little store right off the highway. All kinds of great fudge, candy and chocolate covered bacon!
