The food was absoulutly wonderful, being in the country your unsure as to how authentic and delicious it will be but the food was better then any other indian we have dined at. Staff very friendly and food was beautifully presented. Mango chicken was amazing! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about GATTON Indian Restaurant:
the entrees were all salted for some reason. I got the mixed entrees. Never had such salty samosas. naan was not as good as most. The mango chicken was good though. i think price was fair. View all feedback.
I'll be honest, Gatton is not the place to setup an Indian restaurant, most of the people here are either dole bludgers or old fuddy duddies, who will overlook good quality curry, I hope that you can deal with that and stick it out. The menu needs to be overhauled and I was very surprised that there was no vindaloo on the m,enu, however the chef was happy to make it up scratch for me, even though i feel he took it very easy on the spice, if a dirty little man walks in off the street and asks for vindaloo, which isn't on your menu, my man that guy wants some hot vindaloo! That being said, it was Beautiful! The Lamb was a perfect medium, it soaked up so much flavour and was wonderfully tender. The real highlight was the naan bread, which was made to order, I could tell because some of the dough was still slightly raw at the centre, which by no means should be considered a bad thing in this scenerio. Well done for making lovely naan and also for having the care for detail when it comes to the quality of the offering. Prices were nothing to complain about, I recieved two large, fresh naan, with a scratch lamb vindaloo and an equal portion of rice to the serve of curry for around $30, aswell as a can. I wish you all the best and I will be back every week or so for what I'd say is the best Indian curry between Gatton and the Gold Coast. I would consider scrapping the rest of the off brand offerings though, I understand that you've got to make ends meet, however you make beautiful curry my friend, the fact that sushi and fish and chips are also on the menu only takes away from what has earnt you this glowing review. *Unless you were to put a flavour spin on the fish and chips that is*
Service was ordinary Tandoori platter was inedible and the best they would offer was a replacement platter or free plate of chips Still had to pay Vindaloo was ok
Staff are very understanding when you tell them what you are requiring and have it ready quickly. It is easy to find and aparking is on the street.
Service can be a little slow, but we have always enjoyed our meals here. Very reasonably priced, and does good take-away as well.
Eat here a fair bit, experiment with different dishes so far we are very pleased with what is on offer here.
