O'Laurier - Gatineau

The eggs were cooked perfectly and the sausages were prepared in a unique way that stood out from other dishes. Our meal was not greasy and the meat, potatoes, and fruit were all delicious.

We had a pleasant culinary experience at Pierre's restaurant. Both breakfast and dinner were enjoyable, and the service was good. We can't wait to come back again.

The restaurant has limited hours, but the breakfast is very good and reasonably priced. The service is friendly and efficient, and they also offer dinner specialties. The steak frites was particularly impressive and a great value for the price.

I would like to give this review a better rating but, I just can't. We had a dinner and a breakfast here. At dinner, we were served by the same gent that was the chef as well. He was very busy but friendly, gave us...wonderful service and good food. The breakfast experience was very different. The man who was our server had us waiting when there was no need for it.While all other couples were being seated at tables for 4, we had to wait for them to clear a table for 2 up against the wall in the middle of the restaurant before we were seated there. While he had conversation for all others, with us, it was the expected niceties. We didn't expect him to treat us like old friends, but friendly would have been nice. We waited for too long to give our orders and even longer to get them. It wasn't that busy a place. When we did finally receive our plates, they were cold. Eggs Benny served cold!! When I mentioned it to him, he gave no response. Is this because we were about the only non-French speaking customers? hmmmmm It took us so long to get our bill that the only reason he finally came to us was because we stood up to leave. Would I go back. Not very likely. I will not pay to get treated badly, thank you.
