The restaurant, located in an old house, had a quiet and pleasant atmosphere but disappointed with tough lamb shank and cold cannelloni. The service was slow and the food lacked flavor, with one reviewer suggesting the chef lacked experience. However, the owner was friendly, the breakfast was recommended, and the inn had a beautiful garden to enjoy. Overall, while the restaurant had potential, it fell short of expectations and left many diners unimpressed with the quality of the food and service. Despite a charming setting, it seems improvements are needed for this establishment to truly shine.

We booked here primarily because we were sight-seeing in the Kingston area and inadvertently picked Queens University Homecoming weekend. B & B's are always a bit of a ****-shoot, and this one was in the mid-range for certain. Lovely gardens and beautifully appointed, but our room was very small and the 3 piece washroom was closet sized. Adequate, but we are not small people and to call it a snug fit would be an understatement. Breakfast was a $7.00/person/night extra, unusual for a B & B and frankly it was a bit of a disappointment. The hash browns were lacking in flavour and it was only the yummy breakfast sausages that saved the day
Stayed here one night and can recommend. Owner is friendly and helpful with local knowledge and booking a restaurant. Breakfast is really good and fresh with a great selection. The Inn itself is beautiful and lots of interesting antiques. The lounge area is comfortable. They no longer do dinner here. Stunning garden if the weather is good to enjoy too.

We reserved a room for one night during our travels and had to contact the host to inform them that we would be arriving later than expected.
Experiences at restaurants. However, my recent visit to this restaurant left me disappointed and I feel the need to share my thoughts. The service was slow and inattentive, the food was mediocre at best, and the overall atmosphere was lackluster. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews I had read, but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. I will not be returning.
