some of my friends and I studied a month in Galway and we visited many pubs during our stay, but bar an chaladh was by far our favorite pub. the personal is incredibly friendly and welcoming and the live music is always amazing every night and the drinks are great. it is a must to visit this pub! Lovely atmosphere. Chap playing music was very good. Very friendly staff. Didn't have any food.

Prepare cash before visiting. Great place to eat and drink for lower prices than elsewhere in Irish cities. Authentic experience of watching horse races with passionate locals.

Cool pub and great decor. I don't agree with the cash only policy and then suggesting of people to use the on-premises cash machine which charges. This is quite cheeky and would put me off visiting again. All other pubs I visited in Galway didn't have this policy and I probably visited 10+ during my visit.
