Texas Pit Stop Galveston

My wife and I shared the 4 meat sampler and all about it, everything was good. Nothing to write at home, but everything was done very well. The brisket and turkey were very humid and the sausage had really good taste. However, the pages were not very good.

The staff was friendly and the restaurant itself was clean. Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet my expectations. I visited Galveston for the weekend and decided to try this place after reading all the positive reviews. I ordered the chopped brisket with mac and cheese, while my sister had the pulled brisket. Both dishes were extremely bland, and neither of us could finish our sandwiches. The mac and cheese was underwhelming as well. However, the okra was quite good. I have no complaints about the staff or the atmosphere, but I was disappointed with the food. Perhaps we were just unlucky that night. I would give it a 2.5 out of 5.

We had a fantastic time enjoying some delicious BBQ, fries, and fried okra at this restaurant. While the mac-n-cheese was somewhat underwhelming in terms of flavor, everything else was excellent! My husband and I shared the three-meat plate and added an extra side. We selected brisket, sausage, and pulled pork. The pulled pork was tasty, though a bit sweeter than we usually prefer. We opted for the spicy BBQ sauce, which was flavorful but not particularly spicy in terms of heat. With such a great meal, I kind of wish we had room for the bread pudding, but we were absolutely stuffed!

I visited for the first time on October 25th and was very satisfied! I ordered the two-meat, two-side plate with pulled pork and turkey, accompanied by green beans and macaroni and cheese. The pulled pork was incredibly flavorful, and the green beans had a delightful mix of spices that was a pleasant surprise. The macaroni and cheese was made on-site and was delicious. However, I found the turkey a bit lacking in flavor, even though it was very moist. The service was excellent; I didn't catch the name of our server, but she promptly brought a bowl of water for our dog while we sat on the terrace. She checked in on us several times to see if we needed anything and was super friendly! I will definitely be back.

Savor this delicious meal! The ribs are especially excellent. It's a fantastic spot to grab a bite and explore Galveston. Located right across from the seawalk, it's very convenient to enjoy a great meal with a view of the sea or take the BBQ to the beach. I highly recommend it!
