The Whiskey Barrel - Galesburg

Ate at The Whiskey Barrel for my first time. I ordered country fried steak. Smallest portion I've ever had at the highest price I've ever paid. $12.95. It wouldn't have even have made a decent sandwich. I mentioned it but was more or less told that is the way it is.. I will never be back . The service was great.

Three of us met for lunch and it was delicious. Two of the ordered fish and chips and it was really good! One of us ordered the Tenderloin and it was huge and freshly prepared. We had a huge Bretzel appetizer that was great fun but also delicious. The staff was professional and masked. A great experience.

I and my friend had date night and I had catfish dinner appetizers was roasted green tomatoes and he had chicken maisch potatoes baked beans as I was appetizers bbq chicken wing. Everything was delicious

Stop for a quick bite. Ordered appetizers and drinks. The pulpit was delicious and came with a whisky cheese dip along with a hot honey dip. The cheese dip was very good, but I think the hot honey won me. Also ordered was the Chicken Fried Steak Bites, which came to diving with a milk sword. The drinks were very good. Try it, it's worth it. Next time we plan to eat a meal.

The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. Just what I would say needs adjustment is menu says dinner to 9 but kitchen closes around 8. Loved the Makkaroni salad on St. Patty's day. I wish it was available every day. Anyway, it'll be back.
