The pulled pork sandwich was beautifully prepared, the brisket was generous, and the hush puppies and smoked potatoes were delicious. Our server, Anthony, was fantastic. Despite the restaurant being completely packed, our food arrived quickly. Payment is made upfront, and the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely return if I find myself in Galax again! What User doesn't like about The Grill:
We ordered to go, both got pulled pork. Between us we got sides of beans, potatoes, and Cole slaw. Pork was just alright and Cole slaw was good. Beans and potatoes were not for us. Service wasn't friendly. Prices posted outside(which were high enough) did not match what we were charged(paid significantly more). Most likely won't be back, definitely worth driving to wytheville for something more reasonably priced and... View all feedback.
Ordered Texas Brisket Moist. The beans, slaw and tea were good. The brisket was dry so they brought a dish of diced pork. It too was dry. Management was very understanding, did the right thing and compted the meal. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Service was good, the BBQ was ok, not bad but nothing to write home about. I thought the pork was a little dry. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4
We passed by here to wait out a thunderstorm. Service was amazing but man the bbq recipe has to be checked on cause that was one of the most dry, tough and flavorless pulled pork and brisket I've ever eaten. But we loved the hush puppies the best, funny how the best thing came from a plastic package though haha. Before stopping here, I read the reviews about small portions but wanted to give them a try. I found the staff to be very friendly as they explained the specials. The atmosphere reminded me of a soda shop. The waitress brought me plastic silverware wrapped in cellophane and took my order for brisket tray and a side for $11.75. She brought my lunch to me in a paper basket. At first, I thought she mistakenly thought I wanted a kids meal because the portion was so small. I asked how food was portioned out and was told all meat was weighed to four ounces which happened to be the size of a deck of cards. The potato salad had been scooped out with an ice cream scooper, and I was told it was 1/3 a cup. The meal left me hungry, disappointed, and sad as their prices equate to a customer cost of $47.00 per pound for brisket. After I ate all six ounces of my lunch and paid my bill, I took out my phone and searched for “restaurants near me.” I went to another place so I could at least feel satisfied after eating.
