Hopdoddy Burger - Gainesville

I wanted to eat a simple one and ended up with delicious dug. do not let the name fool, this place was absolutely amazing. had a fantastic burger cooked, just like I ordered. had cheese, mushrooms and roasted wobble. the macaroni with bacon was top notch. Don't forget the shakes. great prices, great food and really busy for a Monday. a scarf fan comes to south florida, please let me know and I will find a location for her

I was expecting something a tad more full service, but Grub is actually fast casual so you order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. I also found the setup a little confusing you enter behind the bar and then have to make your way around to the counter to order, and it's a bit hidden... That said, the burger I had (the mushroom burger) was pretty tasty, a little added zing compared to typical mushroom burgers. And the onion rings were great crispy and flavorful and I'm kind of wanting them now that I'm writing this. It may be a tad expensive as a fast casual place without full service, but I definitely liked it enough to go back.

Other than being a little pricey, no complaints. Sweet potato waffle fries hit the spot. The burgers are huge and satisfying. I went in really hungry and still couldn't finish the burger! The boozy milkshakes are pretty cool too! We'll be back for sure!

Fast service for a Tuesday night at 5pm. The food on the other hand was not that good, the hot mess mac and cheese was cold and the bun was not soft compared to the regular burger. The sweet potato fries were so so, there was a good amount of BBQ sauce and cheese sauce on the appetizer.

Please bring back your original gluten free buns! The new ones are horrible. They are dry and fall apart. This used to be our favorite burger place because you had great burgers and gluten free bun. And also please bring back your old fries! They aren’t as good either.
