Husband and I eat breakfast on Sundays at Gainesville Diner. Such a friendly atmosphere, our food is always delicious and hot. Amy is always our waitress--she is absolutely amazing, always friendly, and makes us feel as though we are her very dear friends. She brings us our coffee first thing without us even having to ask for it. The food is great, but Amy is what makes Gainesville Diner so very special. View all feedback.
What Jonathan Stewart doesn't like about Gainesville Diner:
This isn’t meant to be critical, but factual end is only my opinion based on my experiences, going to diners. The gentleman who greeted me was very pleasant. My coffee was brought quickly and my order taken shortly after that. The portions were very large however, my eggs felt glassy and I did inquire if they were powdered eggs or real eggs and was told they were real. I did like that they had real potatoes.Overall, I... View all feedback.
It looks and feels like an average diner in a crowded little shopping center, and in many ways it probably is. The food is great and the service has always felt friendly and genuine. It is just a diner, but it is one of the best I have ever been to.
I went here with my family at what seemed like their busiest time Sunday brinch. Service was still impressively fast. I had called to inquire about the wait time, which was none at that moment, but when we arrived there was a line out the door. I walked in and asked for an updated wait time and mentioned that I had called. They remembered me and were gracious enough to honor us with a table in less than 4 minutes. We had a veggie omelette, chocolate chip pancakes, French toast, Arnold palmer, and cookies and cream milkshake. The food was phenomenal. The restaurant is owned by a Palestinian family. The husband dropped by the table to check in and we got to talking a bit. He helps on the weekends. He confirmed the chicken and Turkey bacon is fully halal, as it was labeled on the packaging. The rest of the meats are not confirmed halal. The food was deliciously prepared. The pancakes were soft and melted in your mouth. The omelette was amazing I asked to add jalapenos and they accommodated. The hash browns were crispy and the coffee was smooth. By the way they said the menu was recently redone and there were new items added. All of us had a great time and will definitely go back more often. Parking: Parking is part of the strip mall Kid-friendliness: They handed out crayons, drawing pictures, and playdough to our little one.

I understand the market is trending with higher price beverages.
We really like this diner, however, not so much today. We waited SEVERAL minutes to be acknowledged by our waitress, Amy who was playing with her tips at the register. When she came to the table, not one word to apologize for ignoring us. The server who actually delivers our food was great…you need more like him!!!!!
Food was great and the service was even better! Xavier was very friendly and made me the best sunrise mimosa ever! I’ve had Joy before and she’s a great waitress there as well! It’s family friendly and very clean! Will definitely be back!
