This was our second time staying at the Mountain Top Inn Resort, and everything was absolutely amazing. The room was extremely spacious/clean, and every staff member was very helpful and accommodating. The food/drinks were top notch as well as the incredible views throughout the grounds. Horseback riding is a must if you love horses! I highly recommend staying here! View all feedback.
What Marcel Jalbert doesn't like about The Highland's Din:
Rooms are pricy. Location is out of the way but nice and quiet if that’s what you want. Attended a wedding event. The food was very good and I’m told the price was right for the bride and groom. The service was also good. The house we rented was out of date, worn but clean. My only real complaint is they choose to not provide the two biggest conservative news stations on their Sling service. Everything about this resort is beautiful and amazing. The lay out and design is perfect, especially for the wedding.. Highly recommend. By far our favorite experience compared to the 3 weddings we attended this year. Only one moment upset a few of us. We was drinking whistle pig. Managent/bartender told us no more and we had to select the cheaper stuff. At this point we had already tipped $140 just on whistle pig and the father writing the checks for everything was denied too!! Never ever tell the guy paying for everything he can't drink what he wants.
The owner's replies to problems/complaints here are amateur if not pathetic. My superior stay here years ago prompted me to plan a return. At the premium rates of 2024, service and a rigorous control of standards is a mandate that seems long gone. I will skip. {5 stars for a phenomen week in October of 1989!
Just traveled here for a wedding and words won't give it justice. The views, the food, the staff. Everything was as it should be! Handsome down I recommend this place. The only problem is the entire property does not have cell service but, instead all of the cabins have house phones for you to call each other. You can set up Wi-Fi calling though.
I took a solo trip mainly because I wanted to do some horseback riding in a different area than I had done. The resort is on the most stunning property. I really enjoyed the amenities such as the fitness room, pool, and hot tub. The staff in the lodge and restaurant were second to none- So friendly, so accommodating. Food was very good. I was really impressed. I didn’t have the best experiences on horseback rides, aside from my final ride with Lauren, which was very enjoyable. Prior to getting our horse, there was no discussion with us – just handed a horse. Then the first ride set the tone. I have become accustomed to a certain caliber of wrangler. This wrangler was 16 years old and simply not equipped for the position. The second day wasn’t much better for different reasons. I accept full responsibility for choosing an Advanced Ride with an English saddle when I had not ridden English for many years. After my confidence was knocked down, I returned to a ranch I frequent in the Midwest, and regained my “horse legs.” I do know that other people had positive riding experiences – this was just mine.
I had a great moment with my family renting from Mountain Top Sports. The staff were friendly and helpful. They ensured we were well fitted when it came to bike rental. Their prices are friendly, and their bikes are in good condition.
