Eating in an Indian Restaurant is always an exciting experience and it is the same at the Bombay. While they have an a la Carte menu they always offer a great Buffet. The service starts with a freshly prepared soup of the day and then offers the buffet which includes various curries, some pompadoms, naan bread, rice and a fish dish. Depending on the day they will serve a chicken curry or lamb curry and will always ha... View all feedback.
What Angelo Schlüter doesn't like about Bombay:
Must have gone on an "off night" as food not particularly apertising. The onion bhaji starter was so overcooked (or perhaps re-heated that it was hard and brittle. Chicken jalfrezi was pale and watery and the meat was tough. Perhaps the buffet would have...been a better option ? Pleasant staff and comfortable seating raised this review from poor to average View all feedback.
We often order take out from the Bombay. The previous order took a huge amount of time to arrive (via Lieferando). This time it was significantly faster so they listen. Food : Chicken Tikka Masala. Excellent taste, meat a little over cooked Vegetarian Thali. Very...good. Huge portion Butter chicken. Again excellent spice balance and flavor but chicken a bit tough. Roti. Good but too much butter for my (European) taste. Suggestion : Order direct by phone and pick it up yourself if the current rules allow. Then they can do everything in less than minutes
Freising is the last stop on the Munich airport bus about minutes away from the Novotel where we stayed. I never really fancy eating in the airport hotels as I find the atmosphere sometimes a little empty. We normally go to the brewery here...(oldest in the world but none of us fancied walking up the hill as we were pretty tired from our ski holiday and the weather was cold. So we looked around at local restaurants. Surprisingly there weren't that many for a town this size but we came across Bombay. From the outside it is very unassuming and looking on Tripadvisor it appears that not many people go there. Well that needs to change! Our party of two couples and two was warmly welcomed. The starters of meat pakora's, onion bhajis and popadoms were excellent, especially the bhajis which are highly recommended. The mains a of which the kids chose tandoori chicken tikka and my friend and I had the chicken kebab (can't recall exactly what it was called) were again very good. After dinner we were served with some home-made apricot shots, very nice. They even brought some (non-alcoholic) lychee juice so we could all 'Prost' to end our ski holiday in a great way
I was there the time, I only can say that this is the best way to eat in Freising and I've never been in such a good restaurant. I am from Freising and will visiting the restaurant much more next time. The stuff is so...friendly and explain you the typical Indian starter and desert, both for free!!! It's really typical Indian food an so, so good!!! The portions are big, I always have to took sth homewards. I also love that the menu card have a page about the way of typical indian cooking and the spices. The service aked us every time how spicy we want our meal. I'm vegetarian and can find many meals, but also my friends and family were enthusiastic about the dishes with meat. It really pay off to taste the restaurant
We went there at and the buffet was so delicious!! I definitely recommend it! The service is great, and the people are so nice. Is a must :
I have ordered online and it took them more than h to deliver the food. This is disrespectful. WHAT A TERRIBLE SERVICE
