Hitchin Post Steakhouse Of Fredericksburg

This steakhouse is very affordable and has a cute ambiance. Kyle was our server and was very attentive. We placed our order and fifteen minutes later we had our order. Great selections of beer, wine and cocktails. It's a kid friendly enough environment. A little loud but every table was taken so yes it's going to be a little loud. I ordered the grilled chicken with fried okra and green beans. This order had a nice batter and had the right seasoning and flavor. The chicken was not very flavorful but the okra and green beans made the order. My hubby had the 10oz sirloin with green beans and grilled potatoes with onion. He loved the steak, grilled just the way he prefers. He loved the green beans and potatoes were a little hard. Kyle was very attentive and never let our glass get empty. We enjoyed this place and will be back soon.

Food was great and the service was friendly and attentive. Gourmet chicken fried steak was good and the poblano corn was an interesting twist. The cheeseburger was a great size and flavor.

Nice little gem in the heart of town. Food had a home cooked vibe for sure! Servers were very kind and helpful! Great place with a great atmosphere!

Great food! We had the pork chops and the hamburger steak with onions and gravy. It was delicious!

This restaurant is a little hidden gem. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food tasted. I have to admit, I was judging the place initially. It may look like a typical small-town bar, but the food has a big-city flavor. I was very impressed. The only downside was that I ordered my steak medium-well and it came out closer to medium rare. It was still red inside, not even pink.
