It was exquisite, no less, and none of us (family of 4 with older teens) would have asked for a mint afterwards, we were stuffed. The service was very good, kind, fast, very service minded, the interior of the bistro is Nordic contemporary, very nice. So all in all we've couldn't have asked for more, we can only highly recommend this little pearl in Fredensborg
Dined here with some business associates who booked the restaurant having eaten here many times before. I was not disappointed the food was innovative and delicious. We all went for the set three course menu scallops and pickled leeks to start (sounds weird but was delicious! , beef perfectly cooked nice and pink and very tender with parsnip puree, parsnips and a red wine jus that was beautiful and rich, with new potatoes, and the best course of all pudding lemon mousse, so tangy divine! Service was friendly and efficient, the atmosphere relaxed as was the decor. Very good food and hope to eat here again when next on business.
Very nice restaurant with friendly staff, the food was very well prepared and the wine perfectly matches the meals.
The bistro is lying in the charming little pearl of a hotel, with gourmet food, outstanding service, wonderful stylish rooms and absolutely romantic location. Placed right next to the beautiful Fredensborg castle and in the midlle of danish nature when it's at it's best. Fredensborg Store Kro Bistro, is a wonderful gourmet restaurant.
Myself and a colleague went here for dinner early on a quiet September evening. We had some beers outside in the courtyard as the weather was very pleasant. Service was attentive and very good overall. We both had the scallop starter with a nutty dressing, unusual combination but it worked. For mains, I had the lamb cutlets and my colleague had the rib-ey steak. Both dishes were well presented and very tasty. The dessert menu was not very extensive but we both found something to our liking. The restaurant has been renovated and some nice historical features combined with the modern,
