JR Chophouse is everything one would want in an upscale restaurant: great ambience, high-backed booths for privacy and great conversations, fantastic service, and, of course, great food. Everyone raved about the bread with dipping oil, though since I'm gluten intolerant I couldn't partake. I had no problem with filet mignon, baked potato, Parmesan cauliflower, and the fresh salad. Three in our group had the filet and... View all feedback.
What Nathan K doesn't like about Root And Rel Kitchen:
Very disappointed in this restaurant. The service was very poor, especially since the restaurant was not busy at all. It took over 40 minutes to place our food order and no refills. Food was subpar at best and over priced. Also wasn't aware that this was a dog friendly restaurant and the dog owners did nothing to keep the dog controlled. I have been here twice, both take outs, first I will start with the pros, cool atmosphere, their French onion soup is fantastic, crab soup is fantastic, seared tuna is decent, and the salad was delicious sorry I do not remember which one I got now for the cons, out of riesling wine it was early shift , then my friend ordered a steak with lump crab meat again out of crabmeat, so we subbed a lobster tail not a good choice French dip sandwich was so over cooked it was not edible, calamari was not good not sure if it would have been better dining in my second visit, I ordered a burger med well and when I cut into it it was rare so again not edible for me, plus ordered it with sweet potato ff and it came with regular ff wouldn't have been a big deal but told the girl on the phone I didn't like big steak ff that is why I order the sweet potato ff there was another miscommunication with the order as well but I will spare the details. I can tell there are some of the staff that have probably never worked in a restaurant a really funny thing happened while we were waiting the first time we visited but I will not embarrass the server but it was quite amusing, I think if they tweak some things it could be a really good place, if not it won't last too long. I really hope they do because it is a really nice atmosphere.

Food was delicious and the service good. We will be eating here again. I'm still not crazy about people bringing their animals in a restaurant. I'm very allergic!

Great place. Have been there several times with wonderful service and food. Love the outdoor seating as well.
