What Patricia Little doesn't like about El Encanto De La Fuente:
The food and drinks are just OK. Although it appears that all the ingredients are fresh, the food is bland for Mexican. The cocktails are just OK as well. The place itself looks like it could use a facelift. the service is hit or miss...mostly miss with tired wait staff. i don't think this is the cleanest restaurant. View all feedback.
Friendly staff who walk away for their comfort. great food! the saturday special, pig dog, does not require a knife, the flesh is so tender that they can take it off with their fork from the bone.
Nice place. The food was delicious and waitress very pleasant. Love the beans.
Outside look and inside decor is that of Spanish inspired colors and design. Inside smaller area but comfortable. Happened to have a guitarist there while eating, which was nice just a little loud so had to repeat myself or talk louder to have the people I was dining with hear me. Had the Pollo fundido, which was good but not great. Chicken tasted different from before, less flavor as if it was from a can instead of fresh. Service was good, server did keep the drinks full and continued to check in with us. For this area it was a pleasant dining experience.

Good food maybe a bit too salty. The wait staff was excellent, from trying to get me what I was hoping for to accomidating my wife's gluten free and tomato free diet. I ordered a chimichanga with veggies and shredded chicken covered in cheese sauce. My wife got chicken tacos. We had a Guacamole appetiser. It was too salty and in spite of us ordering it without tomato's, you guessed it. My chimichanga came with the wrong meat the first time, and the second time it was without cheese sauce. My wife's tacos had you guessed it tomato's in them. That is a high error rate. The food was good quality. But wrong every time. The sangria was good and not too sweet. But when the bill came I got upset: they had charged me for the missing sour cream 1.50 and 2.99 for wife's dipping sauce. Had this been a cheap restaurant maybe I would have understood, but 19.00 for a chimichanga that's about $6 more than I pay in the expensive part of New York for one. Oh yes.....and the chairs are horrible.
