Round Table Pizza - Foster City
Round Table Pizza
Description
Beloved for its excellent pizza and friendly, quick service, this neighborhood spot offers a cozy, welcoming vibe and a praised salad bar when available. Regulars enjoy 10-minute pies and knowledgeable staff, but inconsistent, prematurely changing hours, understaffing and occasional spotty cleanliness undermine the experience. Prices run high for the area, yet loyal patrons keep returning for reliably tasty pizza. Management should stabilize hours and upkeep to match the kitchen’s strong performance.

As a dog walker, I found myself near this restaurant while working with my client, so I decided to drop in. The place has a warm and inviting atmosphere, nestled within an apartment complex. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by a cheerful "Hola." My medium pizza was ready in just 10 minutes, which was impressive. Overall, I had a wonderful experience with great service.
I’m writing this from the alternate location at the Laurelwood shopping center. Unfortunately, I have to say that FC RT has lost my business once again. I doubt the owner reads these reviews, as they never seem to respond. But here I am, sharing my thoughts anyway. I’ve been a patron of the FC location for many years, dating back to my childhood (I still remember the old brown walls, the round tables, and the fireplace!). I’ve had the pizza from the current management numerous times, so my review is based on legit experience. However, this is my third time visiting a different location due to FC’s ongoing issue of not adhering to their advertised hours. Seriously, closing at 9:30 on a Friday night? The last three times I went in for pizza and the salad bar, it was completely shut down. I was told, “We close the salad bar at 9.” It’s frustrating—you can’t make money if you’re not open, and closing the salad early just feels lazy. Now, let’s break down my review: - **Quality**: +1 star for the FREAKING GREAT PIZZA and the salad is fresh and tasty when available. - **Service**: +2 stars. The staff is usually very friendly and accommodating. They’ve made my extra sauce cheese just right and waited to cook it while I enjoyed my salad. - **Hours**: -1 star. The management/owners need to do better with their hours. - **Pricing**: -1 star. It’s pretty expensive, but I guess that’s just the Bay Area for you. At least the pizzas don’t taste cheap. - **Cleanliness**: -1 star. The place is often somewhat dirty; I think they’re short-staffed most of the time, which is ultimately a management issue. - **Consistency**: -1 star. It’s disappointing that I’ve had to go elsewhere three times now because they’ve been cleaning and closing early, and the advertised hours on Google keep changing without any updates. It’s really sad because I try to support local businesses in my community, especially since there are so few in Foster City. Yet, they seem to be closing earlier and earlier—this seems to be a trend here in FC.
The salad was good, but it had a bit too many tomatoes and cucumbers for my liking.
