What User doesn't like about The Mix Italian Grill:
Honestly, the food was basically tasteless. But the waitress was very friendly. Here's their eggplant parmesan recipe: boil spaghetti, do not salt water. Wash heavily until the pasta is cold. Dump in bowl with a scoop of canned tomato sauce. Top with one slice of Publix deli mozzarella and two thin slices of fried eggplant. Microwave for 3 minutes on high, garnish with a Melba toast dusted with garlic powder. Obvious... View all feedback.
This family owned restaurant has delicious food. I love their homemade soups and have eaten several of their dishes (all made to order fresh homemade sauces). Also lets not forget their delicious breakfast platters (all i can say is yum yum). The staff is wonderful very attentive... Also enjoyed their private room for my daughter in laws babyshower. Thanks to all the staff and chefs for the great food and service.
The food is awesome! I do not usually like lasagna but I LOVE theirs. It was A LOT, had to take most of it home as the serving was more then 1 sitting. Customer service is excellent. We had Patty and she was attentive and ready with refills before asking. Will be back and highly recommend.
Pleasantly surprised!!!! Decent decor and wonderful food. Very flavorable. Definitely a local owner , staff personable, courtesy and quick. My first time tonight and will be back. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. They serve beer, wine and just acquired a liquor license so limited selection. Quaint little hideaway in front your eyes. Across the street from Speedway gas station.
I would have given them two and a half stars but it apparently Maps does not allow that. My son and I went to this establishment to have a casual dinner. We ordered the bruschetta and the fried calamari for our appetizers. The bruschettas flavor was good but the toast points that it was served on we're very oily, I could feel my heart stopping. The calamari was very rubbery and the tentacle parts of the squid were not edible. I ordered a pasta dish which included clams, muscles, calamari and shrimp. The name of the dish really didn't fit never mind the seafood was extraordinary overcooked as was the pasta. My son ordered the cheese raviolis, perfect for a child. I did though enjoy my cocktail. The staff is very friendly and inviting something I feel is very important before you even sit down.

If you've ever been to Italy, or NYC, or Chicago, and enjoyed Italian restaurants there, pick a different one here. Or order the eggs. People seem to like the breakfasts here.
