This is a Fort Myers gem! Be sure to make reservations several days in advance. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious, worth every penny! I eat only whole plant foods, and because we called ahead, the chef made a special plate. View all feedback.
What Clint Westwood doesn't like about Rib City Group Inc:
A limited menu: steak, chops, and local seafood (except for salmon, why do people order salmon in Florida ? ensures freshness. Excellent atmosphere but the wine list is grossly overpriced. Case in point: they sell a Chateau Yon St. Emilion Grand Cru for $135. While it comes from a prestigious region and is a Grand Cru, it retails for $25. 100 to even 200 markups are common, but a 500 markup is damn near robbery. This... View all feedback.
We went to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We knew it would not be a cheap dinner but this is a big celebration. I ordered the Chilean Sea bread which was delicious and my husband had two fillets with blue crab on top also delicious. We both enjoyed our salads also. The chocolate pate for dessert was wonderful!!! My only criticism is that we ordered tea and that was our mistake. We got one cup of tea each (in a small teapot) and it was $5.80 per person. I will stick to water next time. I can't see how that is justified for a teabag. Otherwise, a lovely evening.
We were a parry of 4 service was very good we were unable to eat the very salty mashed potatoes the broccoli and carrots was so hard we were unable to eat it. we also kept getting sprinkled by the air. our bill was over $700.00 . we were very unhappy with our dinner and will not be coming back.
I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for quite a while. Friends told me it would be a memorable experience and the website made the facility and food look amazing. My daughter made reservations one month ahead of my birthday. I couldn't wait. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who promptly wished me a happy birthday. We were also greeted by a musty smell. We were escorted to a table by the ladies room which I didn't like especially since my birthday reservations were made one month in advance. The server came quickly and I felt rushed throughout the entire meal. I ordered NY strip which was nothing more than slightly less than adequate. The single carrot was cold and hard. The string beans were not trimmed and served cool, undercooked and flavorless. The peanut butter pie seemed to have been frozen because it was hard and also flavorless. All this might have been a bit more palatable if I had been wished a happy birthday by the server and offered a complimentary dessert. So, if you don't want a rushed, expensive, flavorless meal try a different restaurant.
Excellent experience for an intimate setting in fine dining. The food, service (thank you Ramsey) and atmosphere were just what we were hoping for. And on a rainy evening, the valet parking was a big plus.
The atmosphere was beautiful. For that reason alone, we'd come back. Each room and area of the resturant was unique and had a slighlty different ambience. The only two things that were disappointing is that the valet service was not available at the time of our reservation and the kitchen was out of mashed potatoes. We were not told this until our entrees arrived. They replaced the potatoes with plain grain rice. It was the worst rice we've ever had. As mashed potatoe lovers, it was a big let down. Luckily every other dish we had was a 10/10. The tableside caeser salad was delicious, the ribeye steak was cooked perfectly, and the creme brulee is the best we've ever had.
