Lester’s Diner West Broward. Great spot for breakfast. Great breakfast options before you get on I-75. Pancakes, Omelettes, Waffles. Hard to choose! Quick service and reasonable prices. 4 View all feedback.
What Kenneth Arroyo doesn't like about Lester's Diner:
This place was great back in the 80s. It used to get filled with the late night party crowd on one side and truckers on the other. Many a relationship (or more likely one night stand) began there. The coffee cups were like soup bowls, the pastrami was great, and the atmosphere very festive. Now it's like any other place. View all feedback.
It 's always a bit of a treat for me to eat here, it 's very near the Convention Center and after attending events we come here for dinner or if going in the morning we breakfast here. Service is always above par, as is the food. They don 't skimp on servings and I often wonder if that 's because so many truck drivers eat here. One of they 're big draws is the giant cup of coffee. They never rush people to try and turn a table and that always impresses me. I think the varied menu is also impressive and for a diner unexpected. Waitress always are cheerful and quick to recommend a particular item. Prices are more then reasonable. If you eat here you won 't be disappointed.
Unpretentious folks with hunger pangs, a thirst for caffeine or plenty of time to kill before boarding cruise ships at nearby Port Everglades shouldn’t overlook Lester’s Diner, a 24 hour fixture on State Road 84 known for 12 ounce cups of coffee, frequently offered refills, and plenty of stick to the ribs menu options from home made soups and country fried steak to chicken liver omelets. On a recent rainy Saturday morning, a line had formed to await seating except for patrons game enough to go for tables outside on a relatively new patio overlooking the ambiance of a parking lot packed with cars, bikes, 18 wheelers, pick ups, and stretch limos. By tradition, Lester’s patronage is equally eclectic, this occasion no exception with customers ranging from Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies, port executives and attorneys to environmental activist Steve Boone, lead guitarist for The Lovin’ Spoonful, who’s Summer in the City topped charts nationwide in 1965. By night, the lighting is strident, so don't go if you fear people checking out either your wrinkles or your latest facelift. Service is prompt but patrons are allowed to linger, and restrooms are clean. For cruise passengers who've forgotten personal items, there's a nearby Walgreens.
Lester's is always a good place for a descent meal. Whether it is a good breakfast, lunch or a late night snack. Good variety of different dishes.
