I've been coming here with friends for more years than I can remember. I've even crossed the bridge and gone thru customs just for a take out. The dining room has a streamlined decorated style but the view of the swift waters of the Niagara river is the star. whether you go alone or go w friends and order everything on the menu you won't be disappointed. Food used to be very good but has been very disappointing the last 3 times, and yes I gave it a third chance. Perhaps they have changed cooks. The last time we dined in I couldn't finish my dinner, the time before that I took a bite of something and discovered I had a piece of steel wool in my mouth. If someone wanted to open a decent Chinese Restaurant in Fort Erie I believe you could put Ming Teh out of business

We always start w a soup. The hot and sour is my favorite. LOADED with goodies with just the right amy of hot. We can't skip Musu Pork and then go wild. Curried chicken, hot and sour beef w peanuts, deep fried fish, steamed fish, Peking duck and yes we have even had escargot. Load up the table and take home the left overs.
The last two visits have been met with extremely slow service. It was a busy Saturday night and it took about 10 minutes to have a waitress acknowledge that we were there. They had only two waitresses and the owner serving the full house. We ordered a couple appetizers and our meal. My hot and sour soup arrived and 10 minutes later, my wife's spring roll was finally served 10 minutes after mine. Then we waited over an hour from the time we ordered for our main dishes to be served. (The couple at the table beside us actually walked out due to the long wait.) My wife's dish was hot and delicious. My favorite dish, moo shu pork was barely warm. Over the years we have loved the food and river setting of the Ming Teh. However, I will not bother to make the trek over the bridge for the kind of evenings we have experienced recently. They must be understaffed both the dining room and the kitchen.
We enjoyed sitting in a pleasant room with windows giving us a view of the Niagara River rushing by. At this time of the year there were a lot of boats as well as fishing on the river. We had a gracious waitress who served us two dishes, Noodles with Chicken, Shrimp, Beef & Vegetables and Mu Shu Pork. Both were delicious and we took home 2 of the 4 Mu Shu Pork wraps for another meal. I also enjoyed the hot green tea that came with a cover to keep it hot.
It's always a treat to get to go to Ming Teh. The food is always fresh tasting and the view is fantastic. Never a disappointment!
