We loved our Rare experience. I had a filet, which I ordered medium but it was definitely medium rare, no biggy, I like both and enjoyed the steak. My wife had the polpette tajarin and the sauce was incredible; so fresh tasting. We got some asparagus to split, and wow, was that good. We sank a bottle of wine (Cambria Pinot Noir) that was a perfect compliment to both plates. Our waiter was very nice and answered all o... View all feedback.
What Tori Beardsley doesn't like about Rare Italian:
Some of the worst fine dinning experience ive ever had. The way our champagne was presented to the tabel was just awful. Our server couldnt have been less interested in educating us on the menu or upselling us. The wine she sold me on wasnt good and tasted watered-down. I ordered the carbanara pasta (for $27) and it was over cooked, under sauced, and just overall not enjoyable. It was missing traditional ingredients... View all feedback.
One of the finest yet approachable venues for exceptional Italian cuisine and fine cuts of steaks. Drinks, atmosphere, staff and location are all outstanding and worth a visit.
My partner and I came in for the first time tonight! We had several appetizers which were all so flavorful! We appreciated the attention to detail with the food and the presentation. Our server was phenomenal! The steaks we had were incredibly tender and the desserts were outstanding. We had such a wonderful experience and will be sharing with friends and family! Thanks ?
My husband and I had dinner here and it was outstanding from start to finish. Our waiter, Jeffrey, did an amazing job making recommendations for us. We started with the Calamari. It was outstanding. I have Celiac Disease, so being able to get gluten free Calamari was a real treat. The tangy sauce on the Calamari put it over the top delicious for us. We also shared a wedge salad, which was on point! We had the Filet Mignon with Scallops and took Jeffrey's suggestion to swap the side dish for an order of the GF Carbonara (for an additional charge). It was AMAZING. I loved it so much I was wishing I had room to order a 2nd dish of Carbonara. We finished it all out with the Chocolate Hazelnut Torte. It was just as amazing as everything else. Next time we're in Fort Collins, Rare will be a must stop location for us. Dietary restrictions: Amazing Gluten Free options
Been in Fort Collins for 2 years now and have been wanting to come to Rare for some time. Finally went with my partner for the first time last night and couldn't have been happier! We showed up 10 minutes early for our reservation and were seated right away. The food and cocktails were excellent; the dry aged steaks (we got the ribeye and the strip) were absolutely to die for. Conner, our server, was very knowledgeable, helped us navigate all of our options (on and off menu), suggested a wine that paired wonderfully, and overall helped make for a fantastic dining experience will be asking for him again next time! Drinks, apps, and dinner and desert all came out quickly and service was smooth (attentive but not overbearing). You absolutely get what you pay for; worth every penny and we will definitely be back!

Every employee we interacted with has a great service attitude. Really nice place, we’ll be back!
