Smiling Joe's Pizza - Forest Park

This restaurant is my favorite spot to eat. Out of all the restaurants I have tried, this is the one I like the most. I always recommend it to my friends. Whenever I am in the mood for a nice dinner, this is the first place that comes to mind. The food is excellent and they have a wide variety on the menu. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. Plus, the prices are very reasonable. I have sent my friends here without any hesitation.

I have been ordering delivery from this place, now called McGaffer's Saloon, for at least 10 years. I'm not sure if it has changed owners, but the menu remains the same. However, to me, it will always be Smilin' Joe's! I keep meaning to visit in person, but I haven't because when I eat Smilin' Joe's food, I crave beer, and since I would have to drive there, it might not be a good idea. So, I'll continue to order for delivery and enjoy a drink while I wait for their delicious wings, grinders, calzones, pizza, cheesy waffle fries, and of course...BEER NUGGETS!!!!! I heard that the owners are NIU alumni. If you have been to Northern Illinois University, you know that Beer Nuggets are deep-fried dough nuggets dipped in pizza sauce. They are inexpensive, filling, and not the healthiest option. Everything I have ordered from Joe's has been fantastic. Joe's serves consistently delicious bar food. They even offer dog food for your furry friend! On their menu, Dog Food is a loaf of bread dipped in gravy from the Italian beef. I have tried the Dog Food from Joe's, and I don't even have a dog! Woof!
