Friendly staff and delicious food! Picked up as a takeaway whilst visiting the area. We ordered on one of their gluten free evenings and they were very conscious of the safety aspects. Definitely recommended View all feedback.
What Anthony Mcconnell doesn't like about Al's Plaice Fish And Chips:
The atmosphere and service were passable, but the food was utterly revolting. The chips were soggy and cold, the pie was inedible, and the scampi was so hard that kids even lost teeth trying to eat it. I can't understand how so many positive reviews are left for this place, there must be a lack of competition in the area. The prices are also higher than average. It's advisable to look around before dining here. View all feedback.
Delicious meal of fish, chips and curry sauce tonight Hot, fresh and a lovely light crispy batter. Definitely recommend unlike a recent takeaway from another chippy in the town!
Ordered online to collect as we were passing through to go to our campsite after a day out and when we arrived it was ready right on time, we drove a further 10 minutes parked up and got into the caravan and the food was still fresh and delicious. The staff were great, really polite and made the experience that much better.
Food was late and then when it eventually came it was cold
Great fish and chips, battered sausage, spring rolls and curry sauce. But the fish cake needs to be hand made. That was the only part I didn’t like. All the best.
Food was good. Just a shame I only got 1 of the large chips I ordered instead of the 2 I paid for
