The best curry you'll ever eat in the whole of Brisbane. Once you eat here you'll never look back! Friendly service and definitely value for money! Meal sizes are well worth the drive. I will never eat from another Indian restaurant ever again. I have been coming here for the past 9 years and driver 1/2 hour just for this curry. View all feedback.

Tried the newly opened Cafe Kuma at Hope Island for dinner the other day. Initially we were not put off by the simple service of the dishes. We ordered the Chef's Special - 4 different curries and Nan bread. Except for the vegetarian one, the others tasted very similar. Only soft drinks are available but no BYO signage. It didn't take long before I felt unwell - for two days in fact. The food contained MSG!! This is n... View all feedback.
Service and price at this restaurant are both outstanding. We ordered the Kuma's Special and found the food to be very good. Each of us paid $20 for 3 curries, rice, and naan, with no extra charge for corkage. The atmosphere was good, although the location and quietness on week nights detracted from the overall experience. The waitress was attentive and asked if I found my dish hot enough, promising to make it "real Indian hot" next time. While the mild curry was a bit bland for me, my husband enjoyed it. Overall, a great dining experience with something for every Indian taste. Looking forward to coming back for spicier dishes next time.
The chicken korma at this restaurant is incredibly delicious and the owner is extremely friendly! The vindaloo is also excellent. This is my favorite place to go when I'm in the mood for Indian curry.
This is the best Indian food I have ever had. Even though I now live 45 minutes away, I have been going there for years and it is definitely worth the travel. Kuma is a charming and friendly host who provides a delightful and entertaining dining experience. I highly recommend their sweet curries, they are delicious.
The owner used to live in England so he knows how to make a curry. Easily one of the best in Australia and definitely in Brisbane the flavours are great and not from a jar, as some others in Brisbane are.
Been to Kuma couple times once with a party group a take away the curries are ok as others have said plenty of meat the owner aims to please, he'll even alter menu to suit a particular tasteworth a visit
