Very nice restaurant within CocoWalk! The business offers a diversity of food but mostly sushi. I could describe the restaurant as a very fancy quick service sushi restaurant where there food is prepared in advanced. If that is actually the case, there is no criticism in that regards as the food was good and the service was also good The only downside is that it's very expensive for the experience and is good to set... What User doesn't like about Sushi Garage Miami Beach:
Had a good experience here with the service and food came out quickly. I'm picky with sushi so I personally didn't enjoy too much but my partner thought it was decent. He just mentioned that it doesn't really have the fishy and fresh fish taste which took away from the sushi. Overall cost: $150+ (including tip). View all feedback.
I was very disappointed with this restaurant because they clearly and intentionally ripped us off. I ordered a Coke with my dinner. I was served a glass that looked to be about 6 ounces that was half ice and half Coke. Virtually all restaurants give free refills of sodas, so after I quickly finished the little bit of Coke they served me, I ordered another Coke. I was served another glass that was half ice and half Coke. I was shocked to receive our bill in which I was charged $5.00 twice. It is bad enough to charge $5.00 for a glass of Coke because it costs the restaurant less than $1.00, but to serve a glass that is half ice and half Coke and to charge for a refill is nothing more than a rip off. And to top it off, our waiter told us after I complained to him that next time I should order a can of Coke that would also cost $5.00. Of course, a can of Coke is 12 ounces. I was not given that option to begin with. Now I know this restaurant is dishonest and intentionally rips off its customers. UI will never return to Sushi Garage in Cocowalk.
We had a part of 8 people (including a 4 year old child) and went to the Sushi Garage to celebrate a birthday. A member of our party asked the Sushi Chef: can you please cut these rolls smaller bites so my son can eat them, he is only 4 and has trouble with swallowing rolls this size, or give me a knife and i can do it myself. The Sushi Chef actually said, and this is a quote: I don 't have time for games, order something else or leave the restaurant. We would have left the restaurant but with a group of our size our options were limited so we stayed.... but we will NEVER go back there again... and unless you don 't mind being treated this way, i suggest to anyone reading this to not to go there.
This place was outstanding! It exceeded our expectations. The ambiance is sophisticated yet laid back. Outdoor seating was nice. Service was attentive. Justin took great care of us. Everything we tasted, including sashimi, sushi, dumplings, rice, beef was prepared to perfection. Cold champagne that was fresh bubbly. We will be back.
Great overall experience. This is the second time I've been and don't have any complaints. The food is delicious, service is awesome, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming. If you go, definitely take advantage of the Happiest Happy Hour which is every day! Great way to try a bunch of different things and have a great time! I love the Korean pork tacos, the shishito peppers, spicy tuna roll and the hamachi roll. We also tried the galbi and the chicken karrage. So yummy! Would definitely go back!
Being a regular, went last night, overall good, not very good, not excellent. Food as always is good, but $22 for a gin/tonic (no tonic but water) is ridiculous. Server was nice enough though. Overall 3 stars.
