Excellent meat and good service. I really felt I was in Argentina. Music, food, environment, scents, etc, reminded me when I used to travel from Brazil to Buenos Aires and Mendoza on holidays to have delicious food and a good Malbec. Toilet was tidy and clean. View all feedback.
What Цотан Doe doesn't like about El Gaucho Argentinean Charcoal Grill:
Attended here on a cold Melbourne evening. No heaters were on. I had to ask the waiter if they could be turned on. A worker then arrived a few mins later and push passed our table with out any eye contact or even a smile and plugged the heaters in. However still did not turn it on. So I did. Eventually other heaters were all turned on. Service was friendly however slow and I didn't speak Spanish so communication was... View all feedback.
Friendly staff, very accommodating. Warm and relaxing ambiance. Love the Sangria here!! The food is fresh and the meat looks roaring. A bit pricey for me, but considering the location, can’t complain. Anyway, no issues at my table

Not sure why others have had poor experiences. I've been here 4 times and every time has been so great. We even had our work Xmas party here last year. Quantities are so generous. Food is absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. Flan is to die for. Amazing value for money. Corkage is a bit steep but other than that absolutely love it for group dinners!
This is the most authentic Argentinian restaurant i have been to in Australia, we had Empenadas for starters, they were full of flavour, delicious, loved them, we had the share plate for main, a huge rustic full flavoured plate of meat served on a tray with charcoal under the plate still cooking the meat. We had Creme caramel for desert, full on flavour with dulce de leche on the side...was really delicious and our Argentinian waitress was lovely and warm. Been to most of the Argentinian Resturants across Australia, this is the best for me because it has a similar ambience to what you experience in Argentina, rustic and food full of flavour, dont expect fine dining, if your looking for a full flavoured slow cooked charcoal meat festival where you can eat till your full this is it, loved it!
Simple but tasty food for the meat lover amongst us. Friendly service and reasonable prices. If you want the more exotic offal dishes (and who doesn't?!? make sure you call ahead of time to secure your chosen delicacy.
